Monumental Installation: MANTEGAZZA

Palazzo Mantegazza, Lugano, Switzerland

30th September, 2014

The lakeside promenade of Lugano is transformed into an open air art museum, enriched by a new monument rising towards the sky in front of Palazzo Mantegazza. The sculpture created by the Maestro Xhixha represents two siblings, and it’s a tribute to the brothers Sergio and Geo Mantegazza promoters of the construction and development of this impressive and elegant project making it an architectural splendor that incorporates all of the many aspirations and culminating with the creation of a futuristic fairy tale.

The magnificent monumental sculpture , made in mirror polished stainless steel and measuring 400 x 220 x 160 cm, reveals unique innovative characteristics with special effects of plastic luminosity and endless reflections of light in perpetual motion.

The installation of the monument on 30th September 2014 is a prelude to an exhibition of the artist which will be held in the lobby of Palazzo Mantegazza at the end of October 2014.
